Best Fall Appetizers (Perfect for Munchies)
Fall has some of the best foods, but you know what sounds even better? Enjoying your freshly baked goods with a little buzz. Extra bonus, you'll feel refreshed the next day instead of groggy and slow.
Here's our list of fall foods you can bake this holiday season.
Cranberry Brie Bites
Ingredients:
- Crescent Dough
- Brie
- Cranberry Sauce
- Pecans
- Rosemary
Steps:
- First off, preheat the oven to 375° and grease a mini muffin tin with nonstick spray. Now lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough; pinch it all together at the seams. Cut the dough into 24 squares, trying to make them as even as you can.
- Place each square in a muffin cup, centering it over the cup (so it rises evenly up the sides), then pushing it all the way in.
- Cut the Brie into small pieces; it’s much easier to do this when the Brie is cold. Do be sure to leave the rind on; we need the rind to prevent the cheese from spreading too much.
- Nestle a piece of Brie into each pastry cup. Top with cranberry sauce for the classic version, or with your favorite jam if you want to switch things up.
- Add the pecans and one piece of rosemary for each bite. Then bake the bites until the pastry is golden and the cheese is melted before serving warm.
- Enjoy!
Apple & Cheddar Crostini
Ingredients:
- Toasted Baguette Slices
- Apple Slices
- Sharp Cheddar
- Honey
Steps:
- Slice up a baguette and toast it in the oven until golden brown.
- Add a slice of sharp cheddar and then an apple slice on top.
- Drizzle your final creations with honey.
- Enjoy!
Pumpkin Spice Cake Balls
Ingredients:
- Peanut Butter
- Canned Pumpkin
- Chia Seeds
- Chocolate Chips
- Pumpkin Pie Spice
- Rolled Oats
- Maple Syrup
Steps:
- Add the peanut butter, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to a mixing bowl and use a wooden spoon to stir until well combined.
- Next, add gluten free rolled oats, chia seeds, chocolate chips, and pumpkin pie spice to the bowl. Stir until everything is well combined and you have a “dough”.
- Place the mixture in the freezer for fifteen to twenty minutes to chill and firm up a bit.
- Remove the dough from the freezer and use a cookie dough scoop to scoop the dough and then use your hands to roll the dough into balls. Store the energy bites in an air-tight container in the fridge or freezer.
